Ribbed outer surface of the cylinder increases and this leads to a better removal of unwanted heat generated by the friction of the piston head on the cylinder wall. The inside of the cylinder is smooth and reduces the friction of the piston head in the cylinder, thereby achieving a higher compression of cylinder set and thus higher performance. SHS cylinders have no any other subsequently-applied layer, posing a threat to its uneven application or unwanted flaking/scored. Unbeatable price/performance ratio.
